Delivery of the first offshore wind power single pile at Wenchuan Heavy Industry Qinzhou Base

On May 10th, as two sets of single pile transport ships carrying the Hainan CZ2 offshore wind power demonstration project departed from the Qinzhou base dock, it marked the completion and smooth delivery of the first offshore wind power single pile manufacturing at the Qinzhou base of Guangzhou Wenchuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Huangpu Wenchong. This is also the first offshore wind power single pile project produced and manufactured by a local marine equipment enterprise in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The single piles delivered in this batch have a length of 108 meters, an outer diameter of 9.1 meters, and a single weight of 1900 tons. They are the first two single piles of the Hainan CZ2 offshore wind power demonstration project. The company has undertaken the manufacturing, processing, and shipping of 22 sets of single piles and cages for the project.

The successful delivery of this offshore wind power single pile marks the comprehensive opening of the offshore wind power steel structure production line in the new Qinzhou plant area. Next, the company will make every effort to explore overseas markets and cultivate an international brand of offshore wind power.

The Qinzhou Base is an important decision for Wenchuan Heavy Industry to enter the emerging marine economy industry and promote high-quality development. The base is located at No.1 Sandun Avenue, Qinzhou Port, with a planned area of 227000 square meters, a longitudinal depth of 760 meters, a shoreline length of 307 meters, and a water depth of zero tide -9 meters. It has a loading capacity of 100000 ton ships.

At present, the base has completed the construction of the largest wind power steel structure manufacturing workshop, single pile whole pile coating workshop and other major production sites in China. The product manufacturing process is strictly designed according to international standards, and can manufacture products such as single piles and large ultra-high pipe racks with a maximum diameter of 15m and a single weight of 4000 tons. Trial production will begin in May 2023. In the second half of 2024, the Qinzhou base will complete the construction of six single pile production lines, capable of producing 60 offshore wind power single piles annually, with an annual production capacity of up to 300000 tons. It will contribute to the development of the clean energy industry and achieve "carbon neutrality and carbon peak"!
