On the morning of March 21, 2024, Sanfu Shipbuilding completed the lifting of its first 3500TEU dual fuel container ship's LNG tank.
The LNG tank being lifted this time is the fuel tank of the 3500TEU dual fuel refrigerated container ship built by Sanfu Shipbuilding for European shipowner Hartmann Company. This tank is currently the world's largest finished double ear vertical C-type fuel tank with a volume of 4650 cubic meters. The tank body is made of 9% nickel steel low-temperature resistant steel, classified as DNV, with a design pressure of 6.0 bar and an external pressure of 0.25 bar. The maximum cargo density is 500kg/m3, the design temperature is -163 ° C, and the total weight is 460T.
The LNG liquid tank of this project is lifted underwater, and the installation of the tank body is fixed with low-temperature epoxy, with high requirements. The gap between the tank and the ship structure is only 50mm on one side, which requires high precision control for ship construction. The project team made sufficient preparations before lifting, and after multiple calculations and computer simulation of the lifting process, the lifting process was strictly followed on site. Finally, with the escort of the Maritime High Port Maritime Patrol Law Enforcement Brigade, the lifting was successful in one go.
The successful lifting marks a new journey in the production and construction of the 3500TEU dual fuel container ship. The next step of the project team will continue to make every effort to ensure timely and high-quality trial navigation and ship delivery.
It is understood that Sanfu Ship is a 3500TEU dual fuel container ship built by the German shipowner, with a total length of 248.00 meters, a vertical length of 236.50 meters, a width of 35.20 meters, a depth of 19.2 meters, a designed draft of 11.00 meters, a maximum load capacity of 51000 tons, and a capacity to transport 1076 40 foot refrigerated containers. The designed speed is 19.5 knots.
The ship was designed by German company HB HUNTE based on the principle of protecting the ecological environment, and the propulsion system adopts dual fuel (high-pressure LNG and MGO) power main engines; Configure a shaft generator, two MGO fuel generators, and one LNG fuel generator to meet the power demand under different operating conditions; Adopting an integrated design of rudder and propeller, adjustable propeller+rudder blade with rudder ball and S-shaped guide edge, effectively improving propulsion efficiency and turning performance.
