Recently, in accordance with the requirements of China Shipbuilding Corporation, Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding organized an external review meeting for the first section of the second domestically produced large cruise ship H1509 during its docking and transfer phase. The review expert group unanimously believes that the preparation work for the first section of the H1509 project to be transferred to the docking phase is comprehensive and sufficient, and meets the requirements of the transfer phase. It is agreed that the H1509 project will be transferred to the docking phase of the main section.
The meeting was chaired by Yang Weizan, Deputy Director of the Economic Operations Department of China Shipbuilding Corporation, and attended by the Economic Operations Department, Quality, Safety and Environmental Protection Department, invited experts, on-site safety supervision group, and external audit experts of China Shipbuilding Corporation.
Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding provided a detailed report on the overall progress, plan adjustment, resource planning, technical process, material preparation, production and construction, interior decoration, quality, accuracy, and safety assurance of the H1509 project docking, and exchanged questions and answers with the attending expert group.
The external audit expert group emphasized that Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding needs to refine risk analysis from multiple aspects such as technology and resources in response to the changes and differences in the H1509 project and the new construction situation. Especially in the case of compressed construction cycles, it is necessary to clarify the bottom line time of various planned activities and develop response plans for risks. The specially invited experts of the group pointed out that the compression of project construction cycle has put forward higher requirements for the integrity of outfitting, and Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding needs special planning and careful response. Continuous attention should be paid to factors such as vibration and noise reduction design, weight center of gravity control, and changes in shipowner supervision teams in the domestic industrial chain. At the same time, we will deepen the summary and application of experience in cruise ship design and construction, gradually forming a safe and efficient cruise ship construction model with Chinese characteristics.
The Safety Supervision Group of China Shipbuilding Group has proposed that Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding should be good at summarizing experience, conducting comprehensive risk identification, and effectively implementing various safety measures in response to the new construction plan.
Chen Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, thanked the group for its attention to the H1509 project and the constructive suggestions put forward by the external audit expert group. He stated that the construction progress of the second ship is currently progressing in an orderly manner, which is the result of the concerted efforts of the entire group and company. The company has taken sufficient measures to continuously dock the H1509 project section, and will carefully study, digest, and absorb the opinions proposed by the expert group in the future to ensure the smooth progress of the H1509 project as planned.
Yang Weizan, Deputy Director of the Economic Operations Department of China Shipbuilding Group, requested that the opinions put forward by the external audit expert group of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding be refined and studied, and the effectiveness of the plan be improved on the basis of the first ship. The experience and lessons learned from the first ship should be continuously summarized to form a list and a reasonable indicator system, improve management effectiveness, and reflect value creation. At the same time, it is proposed that Waigaoqiao should continue to maintain high fighting spirit, promote the spirit of continuous combat, and build cruise ships with competitiveness, laying a solid foundation for the development strategy of the group's cruise industry.
