How is the Rubber Fender Installed?

This technique is applicable to the rubber fender on the side board of the ship. Technical content: The raw material of the steel rubber fender shall be the same as that of the corresponding hull plating.

There are two types of structure: tube shaped and tubular rolling. The two ends of the rubber fender should be closed and slanted, and gradually disappear. The height and width of the cutting end should be greater than 3:1. If there are multiple boards, the plate should be partially relaxed at the end. 

The end point of the rubber fender shall fall on the structure of the hull, such as the ribs and the floor. If the rubber fender is provided with a cladding plate, such as two 50-75 mm narrow strip flat steel or a wide side flat steel with a plug welded hole, the composite plate shall be separated from the hull plate by using a 1.0-1.5 mm copper sheet when the cladding plate is welded with the cladding plate. With the active development of the preloading project, the rubber fender is usually preloaded in sections. Therefore, the fender should leave 1.0 ~ 1.2 m in bulk on the berth. Once the section has a large seam inspection, the fender can be installed. The transverse and longitudinal stiffeners in the rubber fender are usually not welded to the hull plate, leaving an interval of 8 ~ 10 mm.
