Bridge Rubber Pads Brief Introduction
Bridge rubber pads, also referred to as rubber pads, are also known as shock-absorbing rubber pads, rubber cushions, etc. It has sufficient vertical rigidity to reliably transmit the reaction force of the upper support structure to the abutment. The bearing has good elasticity to cope with the rotation of the beam end of the bridge; it also has a larger shear deform ability to meet the horizontal displacement of the upper structure. It is mainly suitable for bridges with a span of less than 30m and small displacement.
What bridge damping rubber pad should pay attention to when installing:
(1)Before installation of the bridge damping rubber pad, the installation position of the bearing shall be measured and verified. The mounting plane of the bearing shall be parallel to the sliding plane or rolling plane of the bearing, and the deviation of the parallelism shall not exceed 2‰.
(2) Before the installation of the bridge damping rubber pad, the relative position of the top and bottom plates of the movable bearing shall be inspected.
(3) After the damping rubber pad of the bridge is installed, the rolling and sliding plane shall be horizontal, and its slope from the theoretical plane shall not be greater than 2 ‰. In response to the center of the upper and lower plates, the deviation is not more than2‰.
(4) In order to ensure that the damping rubber pad of the bridge is installed smoothly, a dry hard and non-shrinking mortar cushion with a thickness of 20 to 50 mm should generally be built between the underside of the bearing and the top surface of the titled stone.
