Jinzhi Shipbuilding Delivers a 5800TEU Container Ship
On April 26th, the 5800TEU container ship "OOCL VERACRUZ" built by Hiroshima Works of Japan's Imji Shipbuilding was officially delivered.
The OOCL VERACRUZ has a total length of 254.94 meters, a width of 40 meters, a depth of 21.70 meters, and a total tonnage of 57907 tons. The main engine is a 6G80ME-C10.6 engine, with a speed of about 21.5 knots. It is classified by the American Bureau of Shipping and flies the Liberian flag.
The ship can load approximately 5920 standard containers, with a maximum of 3 tie bridges on the deck. It can load a large number of refrigerated containers in the hold and on the deck, as well as various dangerous goods specified in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG).
In terms of environmental protection and energy conservation, in order to meet the requirements of Tier III regulations, the main engine of the ship is equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation system, and the generator adopts a selective catalytic reduction system. In addition, energy-saving additional devices have been installed near the propellers, and hull coatings that can reduce friction with seawater have been used to improve propulsion performance and environmental protection. The ship is also equipped with a ballast water treatment system, providing a list of hazardous substances.
